Drop into the building from a hole in the roof and press the switch that opens the gate ahead, then crawl out with a hatch in the ground. There's a ladder near some train cars that'll help you get to the roof of a rusted roof. Use a minecart filled with metal girders to leave another tunnel, where you'll soon hear a strange noise. A new doctor, Magnusson, will introduce himself very arrogantly. This one, if it reaches full potential, will be stronger than the Resonance Cascade in Black Mesa. It's revealed that the code retrieved from the Citadel is the message sent to the combine, and the portal above the Citadel is going to be an even more deadly force than the one that brought the combine here in the first place. As she tries to fix it, a plug will fall down right next to a suspiciously open socket. At the end of it are some zombies and antlions fighting each other, and past that is a computer Alyx will try to use to contact her father. Take it from her and look at the Citadel, then head into a mine tunnel. The train car has crashed, and Alyx will help you get out with the gravity gun. You'll be treated to a recap of the events of Episode 1 when starting Episode 2.
